I Haven't Heard From You Yet

Hey, I haven't heard from you yet. I haven't learned from you yet.
What's your name? How old are you, or better yet how young do you feel? How do you process life? How do you see the world? Where have you experienced conflict or where have you been the source of it? How does the world define you? Better yet, I haven't heard how you define yourself? What do you love most about yourself and how can the world start to discover that? I want to understand how you feel when you see a happy family or when you see someone sitting alone on the street. My heart longs to understand why you read the books you do, how you feel when you watch the news, and what drives you. I just want to know you. Just you, for who you say you are. I want to be able to see the world through your eyes, your lens and your experience. How can I say I understand you, when I haven't heard from you yet? When I haven't learned from you yet? I'll wait to discover you for who you say you are. I will not rely on anyone else's definition of you until it comes from your mouth and your voice alone. Until then, you're an unknown spirit.
Until then, you're someone I can't wait to hear from!
