At Least for Today, You've Found Peace

You took my breath away.
It was if you had just woken up in a meadow,
laced with tulips and hummingbirds,
dew gently sitting on your eyelashes.
You were at peace.
You left me in awe.
Your strength has inspired me.
It was as if every part of you had already walked out your victory.
You never even considered waving a white flag, did you?
You carried yourself differently.
You were standing taller, your chin held higher.
You reminded me of a childhood home,
where old framed windows remind you of days past.
Those vine covered, pain infused walls can't keep you from your dreams anymore.
You took my breathe away.
You left me in awe.
You carried yourself differently.
You're someone I hope the world hears one day.
I'll be listening for your story.
I am so glad, that for at least today, you've found peace.
