Blue Hues of Hope

I watched the sky as it’s blue hues transformed into washed out orange streaks. I stared at the beauty before me, feeling almost lost in the majesty of it all. A sudden feeling of loneliness overwhelmed me. This world felt too big for my tiny heart to hug and love all at once.
And then, in a moment, I saw You rush through the clouds. They whipped behind You and the last sliver of the sun winked as You passed through. You ran to my side so quickly it took my breathe away. I gasped. There You were, right in front of me.
You spoke gently over me. And held my face tight.
“I may have this whole world” You smiled, “but your eyes are what catch my attention.”
Before I could utter a single word You spoke again.
"Don't worry about how big this world is or how big your dreams are. You, my dear, need to simply look at me. One day, before you know it, it won't feel so big anymore. You'll be right where you're meant to be. But for now, just stay here with me."
Then You squeezed my hand as I rested my head upon Your shoulders.
I let the world disappear as I closed my eyes for the night.
