Graveyard Mercy

Beg him for mercy, as you tackle him to the ground.

Push comes to shove. But you've pushed yourself right over the edge.

Mercy mercy mercy, exists no more in your world.

Grace; a dried up ocean with fossils of love attached to these rocks.

You throw punches to show your strength.

But you end up with the black eye instead.

Blame the world around you, go ahead my love.

But before you do, look in the mirror and remember one thing.

Your feet move only in the direction you want them to go in.

You are not a robot, you are no puppet.

You are in control.

And before you know it, you'll be begging for mercy from someone you pushed away.

So far, so far, so far away. You dug your own grave.

You rest in that hole in the ground you've made your home, with dust pouring over your soul.

Goodnight sunshine, goodnight moonlight.

The hands extended to you are growing tired, growing weak.

Just don't forget; they've always shown you mercy and grace.
