A Current of Crowns

There is an underlying current running deep through mother earth. Roaring, because for once, it can be heard. As people quiet themselves, we have given earth a chance to speak. A chance to breathe because we aren't suffocating it with an urgent need or selfish plea. There is a heartfelt hum that's growing beneath our feet. And maybe if we move slow enough we might feel it speak to us. Do you feel it? Where thankfulness is being thrown at the feet of the overworked. Where needs are being re-evaluated. Where privilege is being recognized. Where lack is being filled. Where people look beyond themselves. Where the survival of humanity only matters if the rest of mankind makes it too.
There is an underlying current running deep through mother earth.
An awakening. An aching. An echoing of applaud and defeat from the east to the west.
And for once, humanity is listening. Listening to the birds. Listening to their elders. Listening to the atmosphere and how it's responding.
At a time where our spirits feel like they are being dragged through the mud, remember that this earth wears crowns of glitter and gold. Let's rest our head against the ground and lay our crowns down. To the people fighting for us. To the earth for giving us oxygen. Let's lay our crowns down and maybe, just maybe, her current will whisk them away to those who needs it more.
There is an underlying current running deep through mother earth.
Are you listening?
